Facial recognition algorithm is able to predict sexual orientation
An algorithm created by Stanford University is able to predict with surprising accuracy the sexual orientation of a person, based only on a photograph of his face.
According to The Next Web, with the photograph of a man's face, the algorithm was 81% accurate, while with women it was 74% accurate. However, when this algorithm was 'fed' with five photographs of a person's face, accuracy increased to 91% for men and 83% for women.
The algorithm was created from more than 35,000 expensive photographs - information that makes up the software decision base - and from a study by Stanford University, which points out that sexual orientation comes from exposure to certain hormones before birth. The possibility of being born, in fact, already with a defined sexual orientation is reinforced.
