GeForce RTX 4050 should come already in June
The following months should bring a significant expansion of the graphics card portfolio Nvidia GeForce RTX 4000. The bottom of the range is still the very expensive GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, which is on the border between higher mainstream and lower high-end. The slightly cheaper GeForce RTX 4070 should already be launched on April 13, but the purely mainstream or low-end models will have to wait a little longer. But it might not take as long as we wait for the RTX 4070.
The end of May is supposed to bring the new GeForce RTX 4060 Ti with 160W consumption, i.e. roughly 1-1.5 months after the RTX 4070. Interestingly, we still don’t know anything about the planned launch of the RTX 4060. It should consume only 115W, 3072 CUDA cores , however the release date is unknown. On the other hand, for the first time, the cheapest representative is being talked about, GeForce RTX 4050. This model should appear sometime during June, and we already know that the card should have 6 GB of memory (this would indicate a 96-bit memory bus). The number of CUDA cores is unclear, here one could expect the same or even less than the predecessor, as is usual with the RTX 4000 series, so about anything between 2048 and 2560 cores. But we have to wait a while for the exact number.
