O Google Chrome já não é suportado no Windows 7 e 8

Chrome OS no longer supports Windows 7, 8 and 8.1

Google has released an updated version of the Chrome browser, number 110, which is no longer supported on older Windows operating systems. It is reported by The Verge.

As such, computers running Windows 7, 8, and 8.1, as well as Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2, will not be able to run Chrome 110. This is the first version of Google's browser that requires Windows 10 or a newer version of system to run. Users will still be able to use previous versions of the browser, but the lack of updates can put their computers at a security risk.

The Chrome 110 update is known to fix some security issues and contains several new features, including the ability to use biometric authentication for password autofill.

Microsoft does not reveal the number of Windows 7 users. According to data from 2021, their number was 100 million. Furthermore, a recent Lansweeper survey showed that Windows 7 is still more popular than the current Windows 11.
