OPPO

Oppo Find N2 (Virar)

Find N2 was officially presented and is the second foldable of the Chinese manufacturer

The Oppo Find N2 was officially presented and is the second foldable from the Chinese manufacturer. The Find N2 Flip was also revealed, also with a foldable screen but a completely different form factor.

The Find N2 is the successor to the current Oppo Find N, which was only marketed in China. The device weighs only 233 grams and offers a 7.1-inch screen when unfolded. This makes it a little more practical than competing models with the same form factor, such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.

A lot of work has been done on the hinge, which has been improved in several ways. It's smaller, thinner and more robust. According to Oppo, you can open the device at least 400,000 times without any problems. When folded, the device is 14.6 millimeters thick and the screen halves fit flat, so dust or other dirt won't damage the screen.

Weight has been reduced by 42 grams due to the choice of carbon fiber and the new hinge, which contains 36 fewer components. The fold in the screen is also much smaller, according to Oppo, but we will have to test this in practice over time.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip supports 5G and provides enough power for any task and endless multitasking. The external screen is relatively small at 5.54 inches. The border around it is also much narrower than with its immediate predecessor. Both Find N2 screens refresh up to 120 times per second for a smooth experience.

The battery is a 4520 mAh model and you can charge it with a maximum of 67 Watts. There are three cameras on the back, including a 50-megapixel sensor. A wide-angle camera (48 megapixels) and a telephoto lens are also on board. You use the latter to zoom in and get better portrait shots. Finally, the proprietary MariSilicon X chip is integrated, which ensures better processing of captured photos and videos.

The beating heart is the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus chip, and together with the 4300 mAh battery, you can get through the day, according to Oppo. This device also uses a new type of hinge, making the fold 'virtually invisible'. Inside is a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen that has a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The Flip has two cameras on the outside and a single front camera that's built into a hole in the screen. Both devices run on a modified version of ColorOS that is optimized for foldable screens. For example, you can multitask more easily on the Find N2 with the large internal display and other optimizations implemented.

Availability Oppo Find N2 (Flip)...Oppo announced that both devices will be marketed in its home country of China. The N2 Flip will also hit the European market in the first quarter of 2023. Details on which countries the smartphone will launch in, in which colors and at what price, the company leaves in the middle for now.
