Electronics giant expanded Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) ecosystem at record rate
Huawei achieved its growth in 2022 thanks to its continuous innovation that propelled AppGallery to become one of the top three global app stores in the world and a gateway to seamless experiences, in all scenarios and on all devices for millions of users.
Huawei describes its business vision for Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) in Europe as a combination of innovative devices and a collaborative ecosystem. This vision has also been demonstrated in the recent launch of the Mate 50 Pro and Nova 10 series smartphones, which leverage various services powered by the HMS ecosystem. In addition, HUAWEI Health, which currently serves more than 400 million users worldwide, utilizes sync features to share exercise data with various fitness apps available on the AppGallery. In the HUAWEI Health app alone, 97 million MAU (17% annual increase), 13 million (20% annual increase) are used to track sports activities, 16 million (17% annual increase) analyze sleep processes, 26 million (17% annual increase) ) for a more general health analysis.

Currently, AppGallery has over 580 million monthly active users (MAUs) worldwide. There is a 16% increase from Q3 2020. The number of Quick Apps users has surpassed 160 million monthly active users.
The number of apps that can be downloaded from the AppGallery to HMS smartphones increased by 147% year-on-year.
More than 220,000 apps worldwide are integrated with HMS Core. 120% increase compared to the third quarter of 2020.
AppGallery delivered over 432 billion apps in 2021, up 12.5% over 2020 and 96% over 2019. Outside mainland China, delivery quality saw a notable 56% increase over 2019. last year.
Registered developers working with HMS worldwide have increased by 200% from Q3 2020, now reaching 6 million.
Huawei's mobile services cover 8 major regional centers and 15 data centers, including more than 170 countries/regions worldwide.
The fully secure login gateway for all Huawei services including AppGallery, HUAWEI Health and HUAWEI Cloud, HUAWEI ID now has over 400 million MAUs. HUAWEI ID ensures complete protection of users' personal information when downloading apps, managing multiple devices, backing up data, and more.
HMS's search engine, Petal Search, now has the feature that allows users to discover information by text, image and audio, connecting to more than 3,000 ecosystem partners.
Currently, Petal Search offers complete coverage of watching football, such as information about teams and tournaments, features that allow fans to vote for their teams and various statistics to increase their enjoyment of the event.
With currently more than 40 million MAUs, the popular navigation tool Petal Maps has released new updates that include AR Walking Navigation, real-time location sharing and user growth system that creates a more immersive and realistic map experience for users .
As of September this year, HUAWEI Assistant has reached more than 260 million MAUs, providing users with SmartCare Cards and complete scenario services, including convenient services, travel, city, shopping and financial services.
Global search services for 310 million users are provided by HUAWEI Artificial Intelligence Search, which connects them to local, network and global information in more than 170 countries and regions
HUAWEI Ads Evolve...Another area of the HMS ecosystem that saw significant growth in 2022 was HUAWEI Ads, the commercial platform for Huawei devices, enabling developers and advertisers to target more than 730 million users of Huawei devices. Huawei works closely with its partners to help them monetize their apps and create promotions that encourage greater app engagement.

Advertiser growth has increased 9x since 2020, reaching 2000+ advertisers across 200+ advertiser industries.
Publisher growth quadrupled to over 360,000 publishers over the same period.
4 billion ad requests are received every day and this number is expected to increase by 400% by 2023.
49,000 apps worldwide are integrated with Ad Kits.
40% of HUAWEI ad traffic comes from Europe.

HMS' growth also reflects the organization's expansion over the past year. Currently valued at US$71.2 billion, the Huawei brand has experienced more than 28% growth in global brand value each year. According to BrandFinance, this places Huawei ninth in the Global 500 ranking of brands.
