However, a regular iPhone 14 is now selling for $800, which means that such change should lead to a drop in the price of the iPhone 15 from $800 to $700.
If Apple does just that, it will be a very rare occasion in the company's history when a new iPhone is much cheaper than its predecessor. However, it is worth mentioning that within the iPhone 14 line, we received a strong increase of US$ 100, since the iPhone 14 itself starts at US$ 800, against the US$ 700 that was requested at the launch of the iPhone 13. And before that , the iPhone 12 started at just $600. That is, in two years, Apple raised the price of a standard iPhone by $200.
Also, don't forget that multiple sources say that Apple is going to widen the feature and price gap between the younger iPhone and the iPhone Pro.
