Large interactive touchscreen panels are a good alternative to projectors when you need to actively interact with screen content during a presentation. Problem is, these bulky products are quite difficult to transport, but ViewSonic has managed to come up with a solution that's relatively easy to transport - the sections of its 135-inch screen bend.
The novelty is called All-in-One Direct View LED Display Solution Kit. When unfolded, the 135-inch screen has a visible field size of 3000×1687.5mm and offers a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, the pixel pitch is 1.56mm. The brightness reaches 600 cd/m2 and has 8 levels of adjustment, the contrast is 6000:1. The viewing angles are equal to 160 degrees vertically and horizontally, respectively. The panel running Google Android 9.0 has an internal memory of 64 GB, of which 56 GB is available to the user.
To display an image, one of the six HDMI ports can be used, as well as synchronization via Wi-Fi with a mobile device or laptop. There are also three USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, an RJ45 network interface, and a 3.5mm audio jack. There are two HDMI 2.0 outputs, a pair of 20W Harman Kardon speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack. In addition, one of the USB Type-A ports allows you to charge an external device. To control the presentation, an infrared port is used with an appropriate remote control, the receiver can be moved due to the presence of a three-meter extension cable.
The motorized stand allows you to adjust the height of the display by 650 mm, there are three fixed positions. It takes no more than 10 minutes to assemble the display from the stowed position (a carrying case is included in the package) to the working position, according to the manufacturer.
When folded, the screen width is reduced from 3010 to 1800 mm, the design depth is 770 mm in either position. In the packaging, the monoblock has dimensions of 1900 × 2032 × 800 mm, its weight is 330 kg. Without packaging, the product weighs a decent 225 kg, but can be rolled up effortlessly due to the presence of four wheels at the base that rotate 360 degrees around a vertical axis. Typical device power consumption is 1200W, peak power consumption can rise to 2300W.
The screen consists of hundreds of LCD modules, which the user can change using a branded accessory on their own. Seven spare LCD modules are included in the monoblock. ViewSonic doesn't report the cost of new items, but considering that even a "monolithic" screen of this size costs around $100,000, it's easy to guess that the folding version will easily overcome that barrier.
