Company announces Onyx Boox Tab 8 e-book and tablet

The gadget Onyx Boox Tab 8 went on sale – a device for reading e-books, which, however, according to the name, the company itself refers to tablets. The novelty, running on Android 11, is offered at an estimated price of $410.

The equipment includes a 7.8″ touchscreen display on E Ink electronic paper. The panel has a resolution of 1872 × 1404 pixels and a pixel density of 300 PPI (dots per inch). There is a front light with the ability to adjust the color temperature.

You can interact with the screen using a special stylus that is pressure sensitive. Allows you to draw, take handwritten notes, annotate documents, etc. Furthermore, the input delay in this case is only 24.17 ms.

The device has an unnamed Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with eight processing cores. The amount of RAM is 4GB, the capacity of the built-in flash drive is 64GB.

The equipment includes wireless adapters Wi-Fi (frequency bands 2.4 and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port and a 5000 mAh battery. Dimensions are 194 × 136.5 × 8.3 mm, weight – 264 g.
