Apple began releasing iOS 16 beta 6 and iPadOS 16 beta 6 to developers just a week after the operating systems' fifth beta version saw the light of day. It is known that, a little later, public beta versions appeared for volunteers who wanted to try them.
A number of changes are expected in iOS 16, including an update to the lock screen, new wallpapers, and other features. Every new iOS 16 beta usually includes several changes. Apple receives feedback from beta testers and fixes any bugs found in each subsequent release.
It is worth noting that Apple has switched to a weekly beta update cycle, which once again indicates the acceleration of work on the late autumn version of the operating system.
According to 9to5mac, the release of the iPadOS 16 operating system has been delayed from September to October (it was planned to appear simultaneously with iOS 16), although the exact release date is still unknown.
iOS 16 beta 5 came out with one notable change - a battery indicator appeared on the screen with the percentage of power remaining.
Earlier, it was reported that Apple tightened the rules for editing and deleting messages in iOS 16's built-in messenger.
