Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will have days of autonomy
If we take into account what is being advanced, Samsung is preparing the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, a new Wear OS smartwatch that will have three days of autonomy. This is more than remarkable for a connected watch.
Samsung's Galaxy Watch 5 lineup is expected to arrive in roughly a month from now, and while it looks like a small general update, the Pro model looks pretty exciting. The information about the three days of autonomy comes from our well-known Ice Universe, a very well-informed leakster about everything related to the Samsung universe.
Most Wear OS smartwatches typically last for 24 hours or a little longer, although there have been a few exceptions. The only watch that can achieve that battery life is the Suunto 7, a fitness-focused watch that's also huge. Mobvoi's Ticwatch Pro generally has a battery life of around two days, thanks to its dual-layer display with a low-power layer. Samsung would therefore hit this segment hard with its Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
According to the new information, the battery of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will have 572mAh, which would represent an increase of almost 60% compared to the current model.
And for the moment this is all we know about this smartwatch.
