Zoom announces purchase of two products from startup Liminal that will help users create and organize virtual and hybrid events

Regarding the pandemic, it was necessary to cancel some exhibitions with the personal presence of the participants and rethink the format in favor of virtual platforms. There are many virtual and hybrid events going on, and as this trend is likely to continue in the future, Zoom's video conferencing platform has acquired live streaming tools to expand the reach of hybrid events.

The company announced on its official blog that it has acquired two products from startup Liminal, which offers tools based on the Zoom SDK. We're talking about the ZoomOSC and ZoomISO extensions that help users create and organize virtual and hybrid events.

ZoomOSC allows the Zoom platform to integrate with OSC controllers and media servers, while ZoomISO provides advanced controls to deliver customized HD video output to Zoom conference participants.

In addition to the acquisition of ZoomOSC and ZoomISO, the two Liminal co-founders, Andy Carluccio and Jonathan Kokotajlo, will also be part of the Zoom team. Earlier this year, Zoom announced the Zoom Events platform to help users host virtual events, so purchasing Liminal tools will certainly improve related functionality.
