You can turn on your PC remotely

It has happened to everyone who would like to be able to access their PC remotely, which may be necessary for many reasons, especially if we use our computer not only for games, but also for work and for running our day-to-day business. Of course, this is already possible

1. Enable hardware function...All PCs support Wake on LAN, but most machines have hardware disabled. To enable it, enter your laptop's BIOS, desktop PC, then under the Power / Functions tab, look for Wake on LAN and enable (On). WOL only works with a wired connection, not Wi-Fi.

2. Changes to Windows 10/11...In Windows Device Manager, under Network adapters, locate the Ethernet adapter. On the Advanced tab, on the Properties tab, enable the Wake on pattern match or Wake on Magic Packet features, and on the Power tab, allow the device to wake the computer.

3. Remote application...To wake up, you need a “magic package” for your PC. You will also need your MAC address to do this. You can find this in the Enclosure Ethernet Connection Properties tab. Get the Wake On LAN app on your mobile (created by Mike Webb), which automatically finds your PC when connected to the same network.

4. Possible obstacles...It is important that your PC is in sleep mode, not completely turned off. On some routers, the WOL feature must be enabled separately. You can turn on your PC remotely, which requires a fixed WAN and client IPs and port forwarding. Wi-Fi WOL (WoWLAN) is only available with compatible Intel WLAN devices.
