Company Announces SAT5210 Series Solid State Drives Up To 3.84TB

Synology announced the SAT5210 series solid state drives in a 2.5-inch form factor with a chassis thickness of 7mm. Products designed for 24/7 operation use the SATA 3.0 interface for communication.

The family includes four modifications – with capacities of 480 and 960 GB, as well as 1.92 and 3.84 TB. The sequential read speed of all versions reaches 530 MB / s, the sequential write speed is 500 MB / s.

The IOPS (input/output operations per second) value for random reading is up to 96,000 for the younger model and up to 98,000 for the other three. For random recording, this value is 55,000 for the 480GB version, 67,000 for the 960GB drive, and 60,000 for the 1.92 and 3.84TB versions.

The guaranteed amount of registered information (TBW indicator) reaches 1,097, 2,194, 4,800 and 8,500 TB, respectively. Mean declared mean time between failures (MTBF) is 1.5 million hours. The dimensions of the units are 7 × 69.85 × 100 mm. The devices are designed to operate in temperatures ranging from 0°C to +70°C. The manufacturer's warranty is five years.
