Company announced Hi3731V110 processor for use in smart TVs
HiSilicon, owned by Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei, has announced the Hi3731V110 processor for use in smart TVs.
The product uses the RISC-V architecture, that is, an open and free command system. The chip is 32-bit running. The solution includes a performance CPU block, a graphics node and a TCON (time controller) module.
The processor is designed for building smart TVs in Full HD format (1920 × 1080 ) with a screen refresh rate of 60 Hz. Speaking of support for Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS, MPEG L1 / L2, MP3, AAC, LPCM and FLAC.
TV panels based on the HiSilicon Hi3731V110 platform can be equipped with HDMI (eARC), USB 2.0 and S / PDIF interfaces. Compatibility implemented with proprietary Huawei LiteOS operating system.
The new processor is expected to be adopted by Chinese smart TV makers at affordable prices. The timing of the appearance of such devices on the commercial market has yet to be reported.
