Company launches external disk personal computers and mobile devices

OWC announced the next generation Mercury Elite Pro Mini external drive, designed to work with personal computers and mobile devices. The product is now available for ordering in various configurations.

The drive is housed in an aluminum aircraft case. Dimensions are 124 × 78 × 24 mm. Fanless design is used; at the same time, perforation is provided to improve heat dissipation.

The solution can be equipped with a 1TB hard drive with a spindle speed of 5400 or 7200 rpm. In addition, a 2TB inverter with a spindle speed of 5400 rpm can be installed.

He talks about compatibility with computers running Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS operating systems, as well as gadgets based on Android and iPadOS platforms. For connection, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port with bandwidth up to 10 Gb/s is used.

The OWC Mercury Elite Pro Mini is priced between $43 and $900, depending on the version.
