These Are the Top 10 Countries With the Fastest Internet Speeds

Speedtest has revealed the global index of countries with the fastest fixed broadband and mobile data internet speeds as of April 2020.
The fixed broadband list’s top 10 is comprised of four Southeast Asian and six European countries, with the United States leaving the top 10 and falling to No. 11. Singapore and Hong Kong retain its Nos. 1 and 2 spots on the fixed broadband list, the former averaging a download speed of 198.46 Mbps an, upload speed of 207.17 Mbps and a latency of 12ms and the latter an average download speed of 176.70 Mbps, an upload speed of 172.96 Mbps and a latency of 15ms. Following the two is fellow Southeast Asian country Thailand, moving up one slot with an average download speed of 159.87 Mbps, upload speed of 125.98 Mbps and a latency of 9ms. Switzerland takes No. 4 with an average download speed of 152.05 Mbps, upload speed of 97.88 Mbps and a latency of 14ms, succeeded by Romania with a download speed of 151.87 Mbps, upload speed of 110.67 Mbps and a latency of 13ms.
The bottom half of the fixed broadband list’s top 10 begins with Monaco at No. 6 with an average download speed of 140.10 Mbps, upload speed of 79.29 Mbps and latency of 28ms. Andorra shoots up a whopping five slots to enter No. 7, marking an average download speed of 139.66 Mbps, upload speed of 148.94 Mbps and a latency of 7ms. Macau, Sweden and Denmark stay put at Nos. 8, 9 and 10 respectively, with average download speeds of 137.47 Mbps, 137.43 Mbps and 136.44 Mbps, upload speeds of 127.52 Mbps, 109.13 Mbps and 105.46 Mbps and latencies of  6ms, 16ms and 13ms.
Meanwhile, South Korea dominates the mobile data list with an average download speed of 88.01 Mbps, followed by Qatar with 84.81 Mbps and China with 78.56 Mbps. Former leader United Arab Emirates falls to No. 4 with 78.56 Mbps, while the Netherlands jumps one spot to No. 5 with 75.32 Mbps. Canada places sixth with 73.52 Mbps, Bulgaria seventh with 68.18 Mbps and Norway eight with 66.87 Mbps. Rounding up the top 10 are Australia and Saudi Arabia with 62.15 Mbps and 55.71 Mbps respectively.
