AMD

Ryzen 4000 in Zen 3 architecture are ready

By the end of this year, AMD is expected to introduce Ryzen desktop processors with Zen 3 architecture, known as Vermeer. The company is not ashamed to talk about supporting these processors with existing motherboards with a Socket AM4 connector, and unofficial sources indicate the existence of Vermeer samples from step B0.
This was said today by the popular German resource Igor, LAB, citing its own sources. It is the step of the B0 core that can become final and appear for sale after the announcement. This indicates a high degree of readiness for processors in this family, as well as AMD's maneuverability in terms of Vermeer's announcement date.
Rumors about the migration of processors from this family to 5 nm process technology and the transfer of the announcement to the first quarter of next year have been refuted recently by sources familiar with AMD's plans. The announcement of Ryzen 4000 series processors is still scheduled for the end of the year, and they will be launched according to TSMC's current generation of 7 nm technology. Some data indicate the possibility of debuting these processors in October. Initially, AMD wanted to limit the compatibility of Vermeer processors to motherboards based on the AMD X570 and B550 logic sets only, but, under pressure from the public, expanded the range of compatible motherboards to products based on the AMD X470 and B450.
