Company wants to create an air conditioner it can wear
This summer has been especially harsh in central Europe, where an unprecedented heat wave has increasingly made clear the need for policies that address the issue of climate change. Not wanting to go overboard, Sony wants to give consumers a way to withstand the heat and has created a small air conditioner to wear. It's called a Reon Pocket and it is a small device that can be placed in a small pocket of a T-shirt (on the back, near the neck) and is capable of cooling it during the summer and warming up during the winter. The Reon Pocket is able to lower body temperature by about 13º Celsius and in winter about 8º Celsius, says Gizmodo.Reon Pocket is being developed through a crowdfunding campaign and by the time this piece was published, it exceeded more than half the amount needed to bring the project to fruition.
When it launches around summer, the Reon Pocket will be compatible with Android and iOS and will have a battery life of around 24 hours. Miguel Dias
