YouTube. Videos that deny catastrophes will be banned
YouTube announces that it will remove videos from its platform with conspiracy theories that deny well documented catastrophes such as the Holocaust and other massacres. Likewise, the company has confirmed that it will also remove videos that seek to glorify the Nazi ideology.
This will not be the only measure to be implemented by YouTube over the next few days. Content creators with a history of resorting to hate speech and harassment will also become the target of the platform. Venture Beat says that even if these creators do not violate YouTube rules, they will still see their videos demonetized.
"While this is an important step forward, only this decision is insufficient and must be followed by many more changes from YouTube and other technology companies to adequately counter the scourge of online extremism and hate," said the head of the League of Anti -Difamation, Jonathan Greenblatt, on these measures.
