Spotify returns to 'shoot' against Apple
Spotify and Apple continue their word war after the Swedish company has filed a complaint with the European Commission accusing the Apple Company of anti-competitive practices through the App Store and its fees. In the latest release, shared by Variety, Spotify accuses Apple of being "monopolist."
"Every monopolist will say they have done nothing wrong and argue that they had in mind the best interests of competitors and consumers. In that sense, Apple's response to our complaint to the European Commission is not new and is in line with our expectations, "said Spotify's statement.
The company responsible for the music streaming service takes the opportunity to reiterate that Apple's fees - 30% of every transaction made within the apps purchased through the virtual store - are a "clear violation of the law" and "harm competitors and consumers ". Miguel Dias
