Valve baniu da Steam jogo de violaçãoValve quit Steam's breach game
Valve has taken the decision to ban from its Steam online store the game 'Rape Day' which, as indicated by the (now closed) official page of the game, allows the player to "kill and verbally and sexually abuse women as history continues. "VG24 / 7 tells that the game began by gaining attention on Twitter, with the resulting controversy having prompted Steam users to create a petition for Valve to ban the game from being marketed on the platform. The decision was justified by Steam with a statement that is itself being criticized.
"We respect the desire of the products to express themselves and the purpose of Steam is to help them find an audience but these producers chose content and a way of representing it that makes it very difficult for us to do it," read from Valve.
In her defense, the producer responsible for 'Rape Day', Desk Plant, pointed out that it "did not violate any rules" of Steam and ensures that it eliminated some stronger scenes, among them the murder of a baby. "We are still learning how to strike an artistic balance between producing the games that I like and not causing an avalanche of indignation," the statement said. Miguel Dias
