Aeiron Supersonic

Aerion AS2 Started 'supersonic Mini Concorde' Project The American aerospace company Spirit AeroSystems, known for developing several components for Boeing commercial aircraft, has begun the preliminary design of the fuselage of the new AS2 supersonic jet for Aerion.
We are enjoying the supersonic revolution! We are proud to have been presenting the collaboration agreement with Aerion for the preliminary design of AS2, the pressurization of the fuselage.
The project, presented in 2014, aims to develop a 12-passenger executive aircraft that can fly at a cruising speed of Mach 1.4 (1,730 kilometers per hour), and allows a 3-hour economy on transatlantic flights and 5 hours on flights across the Pacific.
The aircraft is designed to fly at a speed greater than the speed of sound between the major cities in the world. Thus, flights between London and New York would take three hours and between Los Angeles and Tokyo - six hours.
For this to be possible, the aircraft will feature patented laminar flow technology, which will achieve a speed almost like that of the Concorde, which flew at Mach 1.6 (2,158 kilometers per hour).
AS2, which looks like a "mini Concorde", will be made of carbon fiber composite materials, as well as wings that reduce friction by approximately 20%, which allows the aircraft to consume less fuel and achieve greater flight autonomy .
The aircraft will cost approximately US $ 120 million per unit and is expected to make its first flight in 2023. Source: Flight Global
