Tesla driver caught sleeping at the wheel with active Autopilot
When the autonomous cars circulate on the roads, it is possible that we can enjoy the trips to read, to watch movies, to play or even to sleep, an appetizing reality that is still not the present. Thus, it is notoriously dangerous what made man visible in the image above.
The driver of the Tesla Model X was caught sleeping in full motion, with Autopilot mode being charged to keep the car on track and speed. It should be recalled that the Autopilot system is not 100% autonomous, a warning that has been issued by Tesla several times and yet seems to continue without being taken seriously.
According to jalopnik.com (who started by sharing the video), the video was picked up in Las Vegas, USA, and it is assumed that the man sleeping at the wheel has found a way around the security mechanisms that Tesla implements in their cars to avoid such situations.
It is not known if the driver of this Model X arrived well at home but if he succeeded in doing so, hopefully he will not repeat the feat again. Miguel Dias
