If you usually walk the Internet is likely to have seen videos coming from the TikTok app, the new sensation among the younger. Created by China's ByteDance, TikTok has seen a phenomenal growth phenomenon and has everything to continue the upward trend in 2019.
According to a report from SensorTower, in December 2018 TikTok had 75 million new users, its best month ever and a 275% increase over the same month last year. But what is TikTok? What's the point?
Well, TikTok is a short video app that can easily be seen as a successor to the late Vine. However, TikTok has a strong musical component since it allows you to make 'lip sync' with some songs and certain sounds, ideal for creating fun memes and videos.
In contrast to social networks like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or YouTube, which are often enveloped in a negative energy, TikTok has become a small 'quiet corner' of the Internet and this is the factor that many associate with its success .
