Bali: company tool promises to give users control over their personal data
Microsoft is developing a new tool that will give its users the power and control over the personal data that is collected about you. The project is internally known as Bali.
According to the international press, the system is being tested by a narrow group of users.
Bali is being created based on the concept of reverse privacy. The expression is used to refer to the set of data that a certain company has about a user, but that the user does not have about himself. The purpose of this tool is to reduce this type of information to a minimum.
Bali will act as a kind of database that will house all the data generated by the common use of the services and pages that the user frequents. This information will be visible and can be freely managed by the user. One of the options that is on the table contemplates the monetization of the same data, with the money generated to revert in favor of the user.
There is already a page where users can request participation in the project as evaluators. To access, follow this link.https://ip-dev.cloudapp.net/PrivateBeta Sapo
