Company Releases Hummingbird - A Custom AI-Powered News App
The focus shift to curated content is pretty much evident these days, across all platforms most of us use. From news app to social media, every platform is trying to show content as per the user's interest, all algorithmically controlled. With the same motive, Microsoft today announced another news app for Android devices, but this time it's different from the rest.
Hummingbird, as it is called, is Microsoft's latest news app, powered by AI and search technology. Like most of the apps which offer curated content, Hummingbird also requires an initial setup wherein the users can select their topics of interest and sources as well. On top of the curated content, there is a Search function which provides users with up to date generalized news and a number of videos which are viral across the internet.
Hummingbird's Release Highlights are as follows:
-The more you use Hummingbird, the better it gets at searching and locating stories from across the web that you'll like-and avoiding ones you will not.
-Stay up to date on the latest search results in news and sports from a variety of sources on the web, plus get results related to your interests and hobbies, such as fashion, food, and DIY. And you get all that in one place.
-When you need a break, check out the latest viral videos in search.
-Just tap topics to add them to your personalized feed.
The app is currently exclusive for US residents, so US residents can download the app directly from Play Store. For others, the apk file is up to grab APK Mirror. Md Armughanuddin
