What is it like working at Tesla? "Elon Musk does what he wants, when he wants to"
Despite being a public company, Tesla has always been tied to a startup culture because of its enthusiasm and work around tangible productivity goals. Despite this, not everything is rosy and this is evident after reading the reports of 42 employees to Business Insider. Some of these reports report 70 hours of work a week, and although some are disgruntled, others say they would not change anything because of the incentive to work in the company. Nevertheless, there are many cases of employees who do not adapt to the conditions."There are people who give up in the first two hours, others give up after a week. There was a guy who came straight from high school, 18, had never had a job and was enthusiastic: 'I want to work seven days a week, 12 hours a day!' an employee concludes, concluding that the worker in question ended up giving up shortly afterwards.Employees also talk about how CEO Elon Musk manages the company, with many referring to the "Elon cult" for how many employees revere the company leader. This cult sees Musk as an "incredible visionary," "super inspiring," who "challenges people" and "encourages them to do things they did not think possible."But there are also those who are displeased with the way Elon Musk manages Tesla's projects, with many contributors stating that they have "an impossible workload" due to the deadlines Musk publicly lays down. "Elon Musk does what he wants, when he wants to," complain some contributors to Business Insider, pointing to the company's high rate of work.
