Land Rover prepares new all-terrain model ... smartphone
Known for its robust car models, Land Rover has a new bet on the mobile universe. The Land Rover Explore, to be presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in the next few days, was built by Bullitt Group, the same manufacturer of Cat S61.One of the main bets of this smartphone is its autonomy. It is equipped with a 4,000 mAh battery but it is possible to opt for other packages and prolong the life of the device. The Aventura pack will be the first to be marketed and adds a rear-mounted GPS module with an additional 3,600 mAh battery for a total of 7,600 mAh of power. This GPS module allows a topographic mapping of augmented reality Skyline, through the View Ranger application.Bullitt designed the smartphone as a modeling system, dedicating each module to a specific activity. One of the announced hardware packages is intended for cycling practitioners by attaching a universal bike mount. You can also purchase the additional battery pack with a capacity of 4,370 mAh.The smartphone resists splashing water and sand, being drop proof up to 1.8 meters. In the technical specifications you can find some similarities to the Cat S61, including the tactile screen sensitive to wet fingers and use with gloves.

It is equipped with the Android Nougat OS and prepared for the Oreo upgrade. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM expandable through microSD cards. The device is equipped with the MTK Helio X27 processor at 2.6 GHz operating on 64 bits, with Dual SIM functionality. The smartphone will have two cameras, one 16MP rear and one 8MP front zone.
