Cat S61: The new smartphone with status of "Swiss Army Knife"

Cat has announced the successor to its S60 smartphone, updating some of its features to help professionals perform their roles in different areas. Resistant to drops up to 1.8 meters on hard floors and waterproof and dustproof, the smartphone can be used by both extreme sportsmen, engineers, contractors or electricians.
The equipment is equipped with a thermal chamber, receiving an increase in temperature measurement spectrum that operates between -20ºC and 400ºC, useful for example for electricians to analyze a fuse box or electrical system. The camera also promises to facilitate viewing in low visibility environments or places with fog and smoke.

The laser distance meter, up to 10 meters, helps estimate the amount of cable needed for a job. The data and thermal images obtained can be shared among colleagues through live streaming, facilitating group work.
The Cat S61 will also offer a volatile organic compound (VOC) sensor that allows you to analyze indoor air quality and humidity. Together, the features of the equipment will enable architects to identify insulation failures inside homes, the presence of moisture or detect heat losses in windows and doors. Through the smartphone, diagnostics can also be made to overheating appliances or overload circuits.

In technical specifications, the device uses the Android OS Oreo (upgradeable to Android P), is powered by a battery with a capacity of 4500mAh and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. This version will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM, which can be expanded through MicroSD cards.
The S61 features a 5.2-inch Full HD display and is sensitive to wet fingers and the use of gloves. The rear camera has 16MP, the front of 8MP, supporting 4K video.Cat will officially unveil the S61 during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
