Galaxy M56: HDR selfies and ultra-thin design
Samsung is preparing to reinforce its mid-range smartphone lineup with the launch of the Galaxy M56, a model that promises to attract attention thanks to its elegant design, advanced imaging features and integration of artificial intelligence. The new device is scheduled to be launched on April 17th, and will be available through the Amazon platform.
At just 7.2 mm thick and weighing 180 grams, the Galaxy M56 positions itself as one of the thinnest options within the mid-range segment. The South Korean brand has opted for a screen with Gorilla Glass Victus protection, offering not only greater resistance to scratches and drops, but also significant improvements in the visual experience: the panel is 33% brighter and the side edges have been reduced by 26% compared to the previous model.
One of the main highlights of the Galaxy M56 is its 12-megapixel front camera, which allows you to record videos in HDR — an unusual feature in this segment and which reinforces the device's focus on creating content for social networks.
On the back, the smartphone features a triple camera system: a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2 MP macro sensor. This combination should ensure versatility in capturing images, from wide landscapes to very close details.
Samsung hasn't left out AI capabilities in the M56. Among the available features are Object Eraser, which allows you to eliminate unwanted elements from photos, Image Clipper, to automatically cut out objects, and intelligent editing suggestions that help the user to obtain the best possible result without effort.
These tools indicate a growing investment by the brand in making mobile photography more accessible and intuitive, especially for those who frequently share content.
Balanced power with Exynos 1480...The Galaxy M56 was recently spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, where it appeared equipped with the Exynos 1480 processor and 8 GB of RAM. This technical set should guarantee fluid performance and compatibility with Android 15, the operating system with which the device will be launched.
Even though Samsung hasn't officially released all of the specifications, the available data suggests a balance between performance, portability, and image-centric features — a formula that should please those looking for a modern smartphone without entering top-of-the-line territory.
With the launch imminent, it remains to be seen what the positioning will be in terms of price in the European market. Until then, the Galaxy M56 presents itself as a promising proposal in the intermediate segment, with strong arguments for those who value photography, video and a compact design.
