Samsung One UI 7: Leaked rollout plan for many older Galaxy S, Galaxy Z and Galaxy A phones
It’s somewhat of a leak, but not entirely, as the information originates from a Samsung branch in Europe. Samsung is set to roll out Android 15 and One UI 7 to many older Galaxy phones, later than what we typically anticipate from the company. Nonetheless, consumers now at least know when exactly they can expect to receive the update.
Samsung phone users eagerly awaiting an OS update are now finding out, in a slightly unusual manner, when their older Galaxy phones will finally be upgraded to One UI 7. Preinstalled on Samsung’s latest S series flagships, such as the Galaxy S25 Ultra (available on Amazon for $1,299), the new operating system has been delayed for months on older Samsung phones, which means an Android update hasn’t arrived this late for billions of Samsung users in recent years.
Samsung seems to have finally settled on specific release dates, at least according to a screenshot posted by a self-proclaimed “sales representative” on the social media platform X. The screenshot is apparently taken from a video call involving Samsung Romania and mentions when specifically One UI 7 will be rolled out to various older Galaxy devices. The update schedule appears to cover Galaxy flagships dating back to 2021, as well as several newer Galaxy A mid-range phones.
The update will be released in parts between April 18 and May 23 in the region in question. The screenshot is in Romanian, so it is likely that the date schedule will be adapted to the country and vary in each location, but the order of devices that receive the update may be the same.
It is worth mentioning that One UI 7 was officially launched in January, but is only available for the Samsung Galaxy S25 line — devices launched previously have not yet received the package of new features.
It is important to emphasize that the schedule varies in each region, so the dates do not apply to all markets. For comparison purposes, One UI 6 arrived in some European countries at the end of October 2023, but landed in Latin America only in December of the same year.
Devices launched in 2025, such as the entry-level Galaxy F06 model, already have One UI 7 installed.
When exactly can you expect One UI 7 to arrive?
Based on the screenshot, the rollout schedule is as follows:
Galaxy S
Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra on 18 April 2025
Galaxy S23, Galaxy 23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra on 25 April 2025
Galaxy S23 FE on 16 May 2023
Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra on 16 May 2025
Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra on 23 May 2025
Galaxy Z
Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 on 18 April 2025
Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 on 25 April 2025
Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 on 16 May 2025
Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 on 23 May 2025
Galaxy A
Galaxy A54 on 25 April 2025
Galaxy A34 on 16 May 2025
Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33 on 23 May 2025
This information is expected to apply across Europe, even though Samsung hasn’t confirmed its veracity yet. Therefore, it is probably a good idea to take this schedule with a grain of salt until Samsung officially confirms it via a press release or a community forum post.
