Recent Philips Hue Datura Ceiling lights launching in the US

The Philips Hue Datura Ceiling Light range is coming to the US. These smart lights, designed for various spaces like a kitchen, living room or bedroom, were launched in Europe last year. Customers can choose between four shapes and sizes, each offering white and colored lighting from two LED light sources.

Philips Hue is bringing the Datura Ceiling Light range to the US. There are four products in this range, all of which launched last year. Signify, the company that owns the smart lighting brand, recently announced that it would bring these indoor lights, as well as the Impress outdoor lights, to this market.

The Datura Ceiling Light is available in Round small, Round, Square and Rectangle shapes. All versions offer a main light source projecting light into the room and a second diffused light source reflecting onto the ceiling. Both LED light sources are dimmable, said to last up to 25,000 hours and can be controlled independently.

The Round small is 15.12 inches (~38.40 cm) wide and offers up to 3,000 lumens brightness at 4,000K. The Round is the brightest light with up to 4,850 lumens and is wider than the small variant at 22.60 inches (~57.40 cm). The Square and Rectangle each offer around 4,250 lumens peak brightness at 4,000K. The Square is 23.62 inches (~60.00 cm) wide, while the Rectangle measures 47.24 x 11.81 inches (~200.00 x 30.00 cm).

The Philips Hue Datura Ceiling Lights are scheduled to launch in the US at some point in March. The Round small model will retail for $299.99 (curr. €244.99 at Amazon DE), while the Round, Square and Rectangle products will each cost $399.99.
