Anker launches umbrella that charges your cell phone and electric cooler that will last the entire weekend

During CES 2025, Anker presented a series of innovations that combine sustainability and high energy efficiency. Among the most exciting launches, the umbrella with photovoltaic panel and the electric cooler with 104 hours of battery life stand out, two revolutionary products that promise to transform the outdoor experience by integrating solar energy with practicality and convenience.

Solix Solar Beach Umbrella...Anker's big news is the Solix Solar Beach Umbrella, a beach umbrella that can charge electronic devices while using it outdoors. Equipped with state-of-the-art perovskite solar cells, the umbrella offers impressive performance, being 30% more efficient in bright light conditions and twice as efficient in low light, compared to traditional silicon solar cells. This makes the product ideal for outdoor environments, such as beaches and parks, where sunlight is available in abundance.

The umbrella provides up to 80 watts of power to portable devices via USB-C. It can also power the EverFrost 2 or other compatible devices using an XT-60 connection, which connects power from a battery to a motor or other electronics. The perovskite cells in the umbrella can achieve up to 43% efficiency in converting sunlight into electricity, a huge improvement over the 24% efficiency of traditional silicon solar cells. In addition, according to the manufacturer, perovskite can be produced with low-cost materials, making the product more affordable.

The umbrella is just over 7 feet tall and 6 feet in diameter, is foldable and has an IP67 rating, which guarantees resistance to adverse weather conditions, such as strong winds, sand and rain. Anker did not disclose the cost of the umbrella, but it is expected to be available in spring or summer 2025.

The umbrella was announced alongside other innovative products, such as the second generation of the EverFrost electric cooler and a karaoke speaker with an AI voice suppression function. The company is likely hoping that consumers will see the umbrella as a complementary accessory to the electric cooler, as it can be attached to the cooler to power it. Alternatively, it can be installed with a freestanding stand.

Solix EverFrost 2 Electric Cooler...The Solix EverFrost 2 Electric Cooler is the evolution of Anker's electric cooler, designed to keep your drinks and food chilled for much longer and with greater efficiency. Powered by a 288Wh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery, the cooler offers up to 52 hours of continuous cooling. If you need more time, the option to add a second battery increases the battery life to an impressive 104 hours.

Capable of maintaining temperatures ranging from -4ºF to 68ºF, the EverFrost 2 can cool up to 30% faster than traditional portable coolers. The cooler also doubles as a power bank, with 60W USB-C and 12W USB-A ports, allowing you to charge your devices while you enjoy a day outdoors. Its battery can be recharged from a variety of sources, including the new Solix Solar Beach Umbrella, AC outlet, car outlet, and USB-C.

The EverFrost 2 also stands out for its portable design, with 6-inch wheels and a handle that doubles as a tray. With an IPX3 water resistance rating, it is ideal for those looking for a practical and efficient solution to keep food and drinks cool during outdoor activities.

Available in three sizes: 23L, 40L, and 58L, the 58L version includes two separate compartments, allowing you to cool and freeze different items at the same time. The official launch is scheduled for March 2025, with pre-sales starting on February 21 for the 40L and 58L models.
