Ming Chi-Kuo: ''Apple Watch Ultra 2 and some of its 3D-printed components''

A few days ago, we reported that Apple's plans to launch the Apple Watch Ultra with a microLED screen have been postponed to 2026. However, we have little news about the second generation of this 'premium' watch. The expectation is that we will have a 10% larger screen, but analysts predict a drop in sales due to lack of news. There are also speculations about the technical characteristics of the manufacture of the watch. In fact, some titanium mechanical components can be obtained through 3D printing according to Ming Chi-Kuo.

The purpose of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is to generate a dependency on the user's purchase without having big news. The technological investment made to market the first generation could have left the second generation a little more lacking in news. Under normal conditions, this would lead to a drop in sales and that is why Apple could have guided this second generation more. to improvements in the presentation and finishes of the watch.

Thanks to this technology, some titanium mechanical parts could be obtained that would be used to manufacture the watch. As Kuo says in his report, this investment would generate a lower cost and an improvement in production time.
