Windows 11 can now also be run in a GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card!
Computer enthusiasts with the pseudonym NTDEV recently managed to prove that the Windows 11 operating system can also be run directly from the memory of the graphics card. This means that it is possible to run a virtualized version of Windows 11 on the memory of our graphics card. For this we will need GpuRamDrive software and a virtualization program.
For the classic version of the Windows 11 operating system, we will need a graphics card with more than 20 gigabytes of graphics memory, such as Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 and AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX. Computer enthusiasts with the pseudonym NTDEV have proven that a stripped-down version of the Windows 11 operating system, called Tiny11, can also be run within the graphics memory of an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. The latter is otherwise equipped with only four gigabytes of graphics memory.
The computer group NTDEV used only 384 megabytes of memory of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card to run the Tiny11 operating system. Another user managed the same feat with only 200 megabytes of graphics memory. The operation of the Tiny11 operating system was much faster than on a solid state drive, since the data throughput of the graphics memory is much higher.
The Tiny11 operating system can be installed on personal computers with two gigabytes of system memory and only eight gigabytes of available space. The reworked Windows 11 operating system has recently even received an updated version. This one is more secure compared to previous versions and even has new useful options. The interesting Tiny11 operating system is available for download on the web link https://archive.org/download/tiny-11. Of course, the Tiny11 operating system is not completely flawless. Unfortunately, the news cannot be updated. This means that it will need to be reinstalled when fixes are available.
