Xperia 10 V: the lightest smartphone in the world

Sony introduced the mid-range smartphone Sony Xperia 10 V, positioned as the lightest smartphone in the world with a 5000 mAh battery. The Sony Xperia 10 V weighs 159g, a few grams lighter than its predecessor, the Xperia 10 IV.

Like its predecessor, the Sony Xperia 10 V smartphone is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor with a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz, an Adreno 619 graphics accelerator and a Snapdragon X51 5G modem. The novelty received 6 GB of RAM and a 128 GB flash drive. Memory can be expanded with microSD cards up to 1TB.

The 6.1-inch OLED display has a resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Gorilla Glass Victus protects the screen from scratches and damage. The frame and back cover are made of plastic, which, among other things, allowed to reduce the weight of the device.

The Xperia 10 V's main camera includes a 48-megapixel sensor (1/1.2-inch optical format) with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel f/2.2 telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle module with f/2.2 aperture and 120° field of view. The selfie camera resolution is 8 megapixels (f/2.0).

As a power source, a 5,000 mAh battery is used, which, according to the manufacturer, is capable of maintaining 80% of its capacity after three years of operation. The Xperia 10 V's specs also include IP65/68 water and dust resistance, a 3.5mm audio jack, high-resolution stereo speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The smartphone runs on Android 13.

The Xperia 10 smartphone will go on sale in Europe for €449.
