HTC U23 Pro: see the new images and specifications of the brand's unprecedented gadget
HTC will soon launch a new smartphone, according to a teaser the company posted. We list what we know about the HTC U23 Pro.
HTC was once a big name in smartphone land, but now it's just a small player. However, the company will be back soon because an announcement will be made on May 18th. The company announced this on Twitter. According to rumors, it is a new smartphone: the HTC U23 Pro.
HTC itself does not reveal much about the device, but some information has already leaked in recent weeks. There were also photos of what would be the HTC U23 Pro. They show the design and some features.
According to rumors, HTC smartphone has amoled screen with high refresh rate of 120Hz. The screen size is unclear. We know the phone will likely run Android 13 and have a headphone jack.
The HTC U23 Pro is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. This chip was announced last year and is quite powerful but not as fast as, say, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. U23 Pro will not be a high-end flagship, but a midranger. For example, the processor is also in the Xiaomi 13 Lite, which currently costs around 370 euros.
The smartphone is also reportedly equipped with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. We can also expect a 108-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization. The HTC U23 Pro may have three more cameras, but details about that are lacking. The battery is probably 4600 mAh.
HTC's teaser also features the Viverse logo. Viverse is the company's metaverse platform, which consists of interactive applications, games and other virtual reality and augmented reality applications. So there's a good chance that the HTC U23 Pro will support Viverse, but we don't know in what form.
Finally, we're still in the dark about the U23 Pro's price and when the device will be released. It is also not known if the phone will arrive in the Netherlands.
