Google announced a new feature of the Android operating system - application archiving. Most likely, the innovation will be distributed through the Google Play update, as nothing has been said about the limitation on the device side.
Archiving will automatically erase the app from device memory, keeping its data and icon on the desktop (cloud icon will appear on top of it). If the user needs to use the application again, just click on the icon and the software will be loaded again (if available on Google Play at that time). As the developers assure, this approach will free up to 60% of the internal memory.
The offer to allow automatic archiving will appear at the time of application installation when the amount of memory left on the device is low. However, the new feature has a limitation - it only works with games and programs distributed in the App Bundle (AAB) format.
