Company quits production of 11th Gen Tiger Lake processors
Intel will end production of some 11th Gen Tiger Lake mobile processors stated. Retired products include various models from the Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, Core i9 and Xeon W series.
The Tiger Lake platform was launched between 2020 and 2021. So we can’t say that they are very long lasting. The blue team is focused on the 12th Gen Alder Lake and 13th Gen Raptor Lake series it has launched. In other words, 10nm mobile processors are now obsolete.
The chipmaker isn’t deprecating the entire Tiger Lake-H lineup. The list includes chips from the Tiger Lake-H (45W) series in general. Discontinued models range from Core i5-11260H to Core i9-11950H. Intel also included the Xeon W-11855M in the list, but the Xeon W-11955M was left untouched. Besides, some models like Intel Core i7-11390H or Core i5-11320H will not stop production.

Intel’s partners can place their final orders for 11th Gen Tiger Lake processors by June 30, 2023. But after that, the shipping date will vary depending on the model. For example, the Intel Core i5-11500H, Core i7-11850H, Core i9-11950H, and Xeon W-11855M models will continue to ship until April 26, 2024. The final shipment date for the remaining Tiger Lake SKUs is January 26, 2024.
Intel made a similar decision two months ago for its 11th Gen Rocket Lake desktop processors. Now, the 10nm mobile Tiger Lake platform shares the same fate.
