VIVO
Company showed a vlogger unboxing the X Fold2
It arrives in April, and its secrets are slowly running out. Flip Vivo hides better.
So far, it’s an exciting feature, and with the devices that are coming out and waiting for the premiere, it can finally be a mass product of folding screen phones.
Vivo has already tried its hand in the genre with the X Fold, the continuation of which was officially honored at this year’s annual Boao Forum For Asia conference. The X Fold2 (so, typed together) showed itself with a red back and a four-element camera circle, but compared to its predecessor, it will only offer three optics, the fourth place is occupied by an LED circle and a couple of sensors.
The latter can be viewed up close thanks to a Chinese unboxing video, and it turns out that the 5x periscopic zoom goes into the soup. It’s just not clear whether the vlogger is circulating the phone with Vivo’s permission before the announcement in April, or whether he published his gossip on his own and will have a long, unpleasant conversation with him.
The first X Fold also oriented the dial to the left, but there it also had a wide rectangular background. The continuation, on the other hand, offers matte vegan leather in three-quarters of the width, and a glossy (perhaps glass) finish in the remaining strip, without a wide background.
With the new tablet/phone hybrid, the new OriginOS Ocean interface and multitasking options are introduced, and the fingerprint reader built into the screen is placed on the traditional outer and bendable inner panels. The interesting thing about the latter is the lower right orientation, which is completely logical anyway, after all, when held in the above way, the right thumb can comfortably find it.
The vlogger talks about a smarter hinge and semi-open use, and the new product can shave 10% off the weight of its 311-gram predecessor. The Flip Vivo hides more skillfully: it seems that it did not appear on the Boao Forum, nor did vloggers unpack it in front of half the Internet.
