The cell phone battery is the most important part of the phone for many users. It’s really frustrating when the battery dies after a few hours of use. There are several habits that can damage your battery, but one of them stands out the most.
Be careful when charging your phone...They say that we should put the phone down while charging and leave working with it until it is fully charged again. Many cases have shown that if you charge the phone while playing on it, the phone may overheat and the charging speed may decrease. This habit can shorten battery life.
On a respected Chinese website My Drivers with now discovered a message that warns against exactly such behavior. While gaming on your phone while charging isn’t necessarily bad in itself, there are certain situations where it could be problematic.
Warming up is the biggest scarecrow...If you play on your phone while charging, the components will naturally heat up more. Sometimes even well above normal operating temperature. As soon as the device overheats, performance decreases and, in extreme cases, it shuts down.
At the same time, you slow down the charging process. In the user manuals, you can also find warnings about short circuits – if the phone has a faulty charging cable and you don’t know about it, you’re asking for injury. Yes, it’s a “what if” thing, but you never know.
Degradation is real...Unfortunately, playing on your phone while charging increases the temperature of the battery, which has been proven to accelerate degradation. Additionally, playing games on your phone may require more power than the battery can absorb while charging. This will cause the battery to charge much more slowly.
