‘These are all the specifications of the Motorola Edge 40 (Pro)’

We don’t yet know when Motorola’s new Edge smartphones will appear. It is now clear what we can expect from the smartphones, because all Motorola Edge 40 (Pro) specifications are on the street.

Motorola will soon present two new smartphones and all specifications of both models are now known. As expected, the Edge 40 Pro is a slightly modified version of the Motorola Edge X40, which was previously presented in China.

We see a fast Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, assisted by 12GB LPDDR5X working memory and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage memory. That type of memory is one of the fastest at the moment, so that multitasking or, for example, writing photos taken is no problem.

The screen is 6.67 inches in size and has rounded screen edges. Motorola opts for a full HD resolution and maximum brightness of 1300 nits. This ensures that the screen is easy to read in bright sunlight. The maximum refresh rate of 165Hz is higher than many other high-end devices and ensures that everything looks slightly smoother.

A layer of Gorilla Glass Victus can be found on the front and back and the frame is made of strong aluminum. The device comes on the market in two colors (blue and black) and contains a battery of 4600 mAh. Charging is wired with a maximum of 125 watts and wireless with 15 watts.

The main camera has a resolution of 50 megapixels and is equipped with optical image stabilization. There is also a wide-angle lens with the same resolution and a telephoto lens with which you can use optical zoom twice. Finally, a 60-megapixel selfie camera is placed on the front. The device runs on Android 13 with the MyUX 5.0 shell.

Then there is also the normal Edge 40, a cheaper device with less impressive specifications. The beating heart is the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chip. We see a maximum of 8GB of LPDDR4X working memory and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Charging the 4400 mAh battery is possible with a maximum of 68 Watt or wirelessly with 15 Watt.

There are only two cameras on the back. The main camera of 50 megapixels and a wide-angle lens with a field of view of 120 degrees and a resolution of 13 megapixels. Use the 32-megapixel front camera for selfies or video calls.

The screen refreshes up to 144 times per second and is 6.55 inches in size. It is a colorful amoled panel with a full HD resolution and brightness of up to 1200 nits. There are several models on the market that differ in terms of material. So there is talk of a variant of vegan leather. According to the source, the Edge 40 will be released in four colors: blue, green, black and lilac.
