Casio has introduced a limited edition G-SHOCK Recrystallized shockproof watch designed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the G-SHOCK brand.
The G-Shock Recrystallized series consists of three models based on the brand's iconic timepieces, but made from heat-treated stainless steel for a unique design and increased durability.
Casio has applied gas technology to the surface of the steel during the manufacturing process which hardens the metal itself, which requires no additional coating afterwards. As a result of deep hardening, stainless steel becomes three times harder than ordinary stainless steel. Additionally, the metal is recrystallized, creating shiny, stone-like patterns with a matte texture.
Two models are based on the original G-Shock DW-5000C. The G-Shock GMW-B5000PG and G-Shock GMW-B5000PS are available in gold and silver respectively and have an octagonal shape.
The technical specifications are the same as the other models in the B5000 line, including water resistance to a depth of 200 meters and dust protection, as well as solar charging capability that allows the watch to run indefinitely in sufficient light.
There is also a Bluetooth connection that allows you to connect the watch to your iPhone or Android smartphone and automatically keep accurate time wherever you are.
