‘Behold’: Ridley Scott’s film with the Galaxy S23 Ultra

This is advertising, yes. In other words, it's Samsung's advertising, not ours; but it's a curious thing and that's why we echo it. For you to see, and never better said, than the new Galaxy S23 It's not just a brick at the price of gold… Which it isn't, but if you've followed the information about this release, you know where the shots are going.

In summary, the Galaxy S23 is the new top of the range of the South Korean brand, a phone cucumber that, however, is being criticized for several reasons and all valid: from the brevity of the update -with exceptions, of course- in relation to previous models, even the exorbitant price of the terminal or sadder aspects, if possible in light of the same, such as offering substantially lower performance than the iPhone 14 Pro, or being petted by bloatware to unsuspected limits.

It doesn't seem that the Galaxy S23 is the most remembered release of its series or the one that most reports commercial joys, but it is the great flagship of top-of-the-line Android phones and the reference of Samsung itself and even knowing everything what's wrong with the device, the company has been betting on one of its supposed strengths, as well as on one of the most striking points of differentiation of the Galaxy S23 Ultra in relation to the Galaxy S22 Ultra, its 200 MP camera, to make its promotional campaign.

The amazing thing about it is that he did it by hiring one of Hollywood's great directors, Ridley Scott, to shoot a short film with which to brag about sensors… Sort of. Ridley Scott, in case you're really, really lost, is responsible for movies like Alien: The Eighth Passenger, Blade Runner, Gladiator, The Martian, Thelma & Louise, among many other top tier ones; and although she is a grandmother (she is now 85 years old), she is still in good shape, as recently as The House of Gucci or The Last Duel (and this year Napoleon will debut with Joaquin Phoenix).

Total, that at Samsung they threw the house out the window to demonstrate what can be done with the cameras, in this specific case, of the Galaxy S23 Ultra… although all this smells like the post-production of the million that goes back . Behold is “a short film from world-renowned director and producer, Sir Ridley Scott. The simple narrative and stunning visuals take viewers on a journey as a young man discovers that nice things and good behavior are a way out of his dark world.”

It's not that it's very original to promote a cell phone like that, because with the iPhone they even recorded entire movies, but...
