Apple TV will no longer require users to use their phone to accept iCloud terms of use
Last month, a Twitter user pointed out a problem with the Apple TV that made it impossible to use the device if you didn't also have an iPhone or iPad. The post generated a lot of buzz around him. Now, Apple has responded to this situation by making some changes to the Apple TV experience.
The issue concerned the need to accept iCloud's new terms of service, which could only be done using a device running iOS 16 or iPadOS 16. The author of the tweet drew attention to the fact that people without such devices in practice lose the ability to continue using Apple TV.
Two days later, he reported that Apple representatives approached him with a temporary solution, which involved logging out of iCloud on the Apple TV and logging back in. He confirmed that after doing so, he was able to accept the iCloud terms of use directly. on AppleTV.
Yesterday, however, a new entry was published on the support page, stating that accepting the iCloud terms of use on Apple TV will no longer require the use of iOS or iPadOS devices. Instead, you can use any device with a web browser to go to iCloud.com, sign in with your Apple ID and accept the new terms.
