Chinese manufacturer Vivo has launched a new Y-series smartphone model on the global market. It is a mid-range device called Vivo Y55s 5G.
Vivo Y55s 5G is equipped with a 6.55-inch IPS panel with a drop-shaped cutout for an 8-megapixel selfie module. The screen resolution corresponds to the Full HD+ format (1080 x 2408 pixels). A camera with 50 MP, 2 MP and 2 MP sensors is installed on the back of the case.
MediaTek Dimensity 700 mobile chipset is responsible for Vivo Y55s 5G performance. The single chip system works in tandem with 4/6 GB of RAM. The capacity of the built-in flash drive is 128 GB. The gadget works under the control of OriginOS 1.0, built on the basis of the Android 12 operating system.
The power subsystem is represented by a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which supports fast charging at 18 watts.
Other phone features include an NFC chip, a Bluetooth 5.1 module, a standard headphone jack, a USB-C port, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
The Vivo Y55 5G costs around US$270 and is already on sale in Taiwan.
