Semiconductor giant introduced LPDDR5T mobile DRAM memory, overclocked up to 9600 MHz

Chip makers are slowly but surely optimizing DDR5 chip manufacturing technology. If at first these chips differed little from the previous generation in terms of performance, now they have learned to overclock the new RAM to the limit values. Including a mobile version.

Today, SK hynix announced the development of the world's fastest LPDDR5T (Low Power Double Data Rate 5 Turbo) mobile DRAM memory and even provided product samples for partners.

The new LPDDR5T standard allows memory chips to be overclocked up to 9600 MHz without the consequences of instability or overheating. This value is 13% higher than the performance of the previous generation LPDDR5X. To indicate these features, the company has added Turbo to the LPDDR5 acronym. The chips work in the ultra-low voltage range — from 1.01 to 1.12 V. This ensures ultra-low power consumption.

SK hynix plans to begin mass production of LPDDR5T in the second half of the year using the 1anm process — the fourth generation of ten-nanometer technology.
