Ice Universe: Galaxy S23 Ultra will have 12-megapixel 3LU sensor

The famous insider Ice Universe listed the changes in the image sensors of the new smartphone Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, which took place in comparison with the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The 40-megapixel GH1 front-facing sensor on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will be ditched in favor of a 12-megapixel 3LU sensor. The ultra wide-angle camera will retain the 12MP resolution, but the Sony IMX563 sensor will be replaced by the IMX564 sensor.

Finally, the smartphone's main camera will be equipped with a 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP2 sensor, while the predecessor has an HM3 sensor with a resolution of 108 MP. The 3x and 10x telephoto zoom lenses will again be equipped with Sony IMX754 sensors.

Ice Universe was the first to accurately tell about the new trend for smartphones with cascading screens, about the new iPhone 14 design with Dynamic Island cutout and about multiple 200-megapixel image sensors. Sources from the South Korean giant's research and development department provide him with exclusive information about new products.
