MOTOROLA
The British company Bullitt Group, which develops devices protected under the Motorola brand, is preparing to launch the new generation of the Motorola Defy smartphone. As it became known, the smartphone will receive support for satellite communication.
As the Pocket-lint resource reports, satellite communication will be available not only in emergency cases, as in the iPhone 14, but also so that the user can keep in touch when he is outside the coverage area of the networks of cellular operators.
Such a solution aims to fill a gap faced by a considerable number of phone owners, especially those who like to move outside the city limits. The Bullitt Satellite Connect feature in question is a satellite text messaging system.
Communication will be provided by Immarsat and other satellite networks for a fee (starting at $5 per month). Those who wish will be able to receive these messages not only in the form of standard SMS, but also through the special Bullitt Satellite Messenger application.
As for the smartphone itself, the hardware will be in charge of MediaTek. Technical details about the new Motorola Defy should be revealed soon.
