Microsoft finally launches new Media Player in Windows 10
In November 2021, Microsoft released a new Windows Media Player on Windows 11, aiming to replace Groove Music on that operating system, and last December, Microsoft released the app for Windows Insider users on the Release Preview channel.
The new Windows 11 Media Player app is designed following the Windows 11 design philosophy. In addition, it offers many features such as creating and managing playlists, a new dedicated playback view with album art, and new artists, the ability to quickly search and play music, and much more.
After testing the new Windows Media Player app for several weeks on the Release Preview version of Windows 10, now Redmond Company has released the new app on the stable version of Windows 10.
The new app is available through the latest Windows 10 update, so when they learn of a new Windows 10 update and install it, they will have an update for Groove Music in the Microsoft Store, and when they install it, which installed will be the new Windows Media Player.
As for the playlists they have in Groove, when they install Windows Media Player, those playlists are moved to the new app automatically.
So, if you use Windows 10 and Groove Music, know that the update will appear at any time and that way you can have a much better media player application.
